the Gleim Logbook is highly recommended
This can be one of the most important purchases. Depending on you budget and how far you are going in your flying hobby or career make a big difference in what brand, type of headset you get.

If you are on Facebook follow Boldmethod . They have great info that comes out on a regular basis in a nice easy to understand format .
Headsets can be expensive. We like the Bose, light speed , and Faro, and we have had several students tell me they really like the UFQ brand (you fly quite) brands. (See links in the above Headset section.)
If you cannot afford or justify an expensive headset get something cheaper and you can use it as a spare for your friends later. I have a headset that you can borrow for a short time until you get one.
You will be required to pass a written test before you are allowed to take your practical (flying and oral) test. You are not required to pass the written test before starting flight training. Once you are ready to take the written test and received a instructor’s endorsement.
