Here are the prerequisites needed before you begin your training.
- Be 16 years old to fly solo.
- Be 17 years old to receive your pilot certificate.
- Read, speak, and understand English.
- Hold at least a third-class medical or Basic Med Certificate for private certificate.
- Must already have a minimum of Private Pilot ASEL.
FT Course Hours
This is a fun add-on rating to get and it does not have a set price. The plane with instructor is $400 per hour and the DPE charges $600. It normally takes around 10 hours. We only charge for what you use. We normally schedule the checkride with the DPE then you can come out 3 days prior and we will work together to get you ready. Of course, this is subject to the weather cooperating with us. Prior to you coming out we will send you a study guide and the POH. We will have some ground training but it normally doesn’t take much.
